The psychologist's role in elderly care

Population aging has become a highly significant demographic process for Cuba, as it is considered the country with the oldest population in Latin America; this necessitates the constant updating of primary health care protocols, as well as an interdisciplinary and comprehensive approach to the care of older adults. This letter to the editor addresses the need for psychologists in the care of older adults to improve their quality of life and ensure multidisciplinary care.
