Diabetes mellitus en personas mayores. Algunos aspectos epidemiológicos y clínicos terapéuticos en la Atención Priaria de Salud. (APS).

The demographic changes in the population have not conditioned an important increase of the Chronic Illnesses Transmissible (ECNT) among them, the prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) in age people it is more and more high. He was carried out a traverse study, during one year, determining clinical and therapeutic epidemic variables associated to the morbidity of diabetics with 60 years and more than San Antonio of the Bathrooms, Havana. Defining: bigger frequency for ages and sex, modality therapeutic employee and control of the glycemia, more frequent complications of organs reveille according to time of evolution of the Diabetes Mellitus. A 86.3 year-old global stocking was obtained with a distribution Gaussiana to the right, increasing the women as they age although the men were majority discreetly (reason 1.4/1). 37.5% used oral hipoglycemic, although those that alone they completed the diet they presented better control glycemia.
