Abstract

Infective endocarditis (IE) in eldelry is a strange entity before 1960 in the scientific reports, present in at least 5% of the cases. In the last decades an increase has taken place in the half age of the patients with IE. From this date most of the studies show this entity like a growing problem, the epidemic reasons characteristic of the process of the aging justify this, mainly the increase of the hope of life in patient with cardiovascular lesions among other causes, as well as the biggest aggressiveness in the practice of technical surgical and dangerous therapeutic. This case entered in our service, gives sample of the necessity of the diagnostic knowledge of this entity, they already add several the cases reported in our institution it which he gives it was worth even more east work
