Resumen

En la actualidad se ha investigado mucho sobre la importancia de los indicadores del desempeño físico para la clasificación del grado de funcionalidad en los ancianos, estas pruebas han demostrado ser una herramienta eficaz para la identificación de los adultos mayores más susceptibles a la discapacidad. Este artículo hace una valoración de las variaciones que el envejecimiento impone a los indicadores del desempeño físico.
